Terms of use

By using the website, converter or API, you accept the rules below. They govern a technical file conversion service, not a storage service.

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This translation is provided for convenience. In case of a discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Service provided

ConvertChester converts the pairs published by GET /v1/formats. The source format is detected from the file bytes, and a conversion may be refused if the source, target or document cannot be processed.

The free service is available without an account, subject to the displayed file-size, rate and resource limits. Paid offers apply only after launch and acceptance of their pricing terms.

Your files and prohibited uses

You must have the necessary rights and permissions for every file you submit. You must not use the service to infringe another person’s rights, bypass a security measure, disrupt the infrastructure or break the law.

You must not attempt to overload the service, automate a way around its limits, deliberately submit malicious content or treat a refusal response as evidence that a file is safe.

Output and availability

A successful conversion means that the service produced the requested format. It does not promise perfect preservation of every layout, metadata item, animation, transparency or source-specific feature.

The service may be interrupted for maintenance, security or an incident. A pair may be temporarily removed when its engine is unavailable; GET /v1/formats describes the capability served at request time.

Data and account

Files are not a deposit: during ordinary operation you must retrieve the result immediately, because no copy or history is provided. The Privacy policy describes ordinary processing and exceptional incident inspection.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials, sessions and API keys confidential and for calls made with them. Report unauthorised use promptly.

Liability, changes and contact

To the extent permitted by law, ConvertChester is not responsible for indirect loss caused by an unretrieved file, format incompatibility or interruption. This limitation does not remove mandatory consumer rights.

These terms may change as the service evolves. The date above identifies the published version. For questions, email contact@convertchester.com.
